Company’s First Independent Board Member Provides More Than 30 Years of Healthcare Expertise

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.—May 10, 2016— PipelineRx, a leading medication management technology company focused on clinical telepharmacy, today announced the appointment of Gary Blackford to the board of directors. Mr. Blackford is the first independent member of the board, joining six other investors and company senior executives. PipelineRx is experiencing rapid growth as large hospital networks and critical access hospitals seek and leverage telepharmacy solutions to improve care and clinical workflow efficiencies.

Mr. Blackford brings more than 30 years of experience helping to build and grow companies in healthcare – ranging from pharmacy, to technology, to outsourced solutions. Mr. Blackford served as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Universal Hospital Services, Inc., a leading provider of medical technology outsourcing and services. He also served as Chief Executive Officer of Curative Health Services, Inc., a specialty pharmacy and health services company. Earlier in his career, he was the COO for the Pharmacy Benefit Management company ValueRx, which has since been sold to Express Scripts. Mr. Blackford currently serves as a director of Wright Medical Group, N.V., a global medical device company, and Halyard Health, formerly part of Kimberly-Clark, a medical technology company.
