IntrepidNOW interviews PipelineRx CEO, Brian Roberts, on the evolution of telepharmacy and telemedicine, and how telepharmacy was initially modeled out of teleradiology models and now is integral in a hospital’s strategy to optimize pharmacy staffing, both reducing costs and improving patient care. Accessibility to specialists and to rural areas throughout the country has been addressed by telepharmacy. Additionally, internal pharmacists are able to serve hospitals and patients in higher value activities thru staffing augmentation, made possible by telepharmacy. PipelineRx continues to innovate and add features in 2016, and plans to bring more technology improvements, including video.
